As long as one and one is two. . .

I am still buried in edits from the last two weeks of travels but to be honest I love this part. I get to relive the trips again in a totally different way! I find myself laughing outloud or calling my mom to share yet another story!

Today I was going through all the photos of Shelley ( from Point of Grace ) meeting her sweet spunky sponsored child, Margi.
Margi seriously could not be cuter. . .I mean look at those leggings! Margi has 2 older sisters and they live with their dad and grandad. Their mom left a couple years ago. . . the pressure & absence is felt in this family. Not to mention the incredible responsibility she and her sisters feel for trying to “take care” of their home.

We spent the afternoon in Margi’s house
sharing, laughing and dancing!
As girls were being girls (Loud!) I noticed her sweet dad beaming with a smile as he watched his girls play.

As we were leaving my friend Ken ( a father of 8, yes 8!) gave advice & a prayer that only another father could give. And as he encouraged Margi’s dad in ways present and unknown I couldn’t help but think of my own dad as I saw Margi holding on to her dads waist and giving him the same beaming smile back.

The view from the outside of her home is different than mine. . .

But we are both “daddy’s girls”!

“I’m gonna watch you shine
Gonna watch you grow
Gonna paint a sign
So you’ll always know
As long as one and one is two
There could never be a father
Who loved his daughter more than I love you”
