Paint By Number circa 2012

Well hello there ol friends. . .

I have a couple little crafty, arty, inspiring(y)? projects to tell you about

First:

I have been in an office re-do overhaul project ( more on that to come in a later post).

Anyways. . .

I found a pinterest project a while back that I had been wanting to try that needed a Paint By Number ( preferably of the vintage kind).  So when I found this paint by number at an estate sale last week ( for a dollar Might . I .  Add) I knew it was ready to make it happen. . .

Here is my Paint by Number circa 1960 by V.Blunt

It was kinda cool ( de-framed) that I almost wanted to keep it as is. but I didn’t as you can see below. . .

Ya’ll it was Super Easy!

Step 1: Find awesome paint by number

Step 2: Purchase Vinyl Letters ( I bought them at Michaels) The Helvetica 3″ letters.

Step 3: Decide on a saying, a verse, a quote. . .Some words.

Step 4: Cut letters out to get an idea of the layout

Step 5: Peel and Stick the Letters.

Step 6: You are Ready to Paint.

Step 7: I used White Satin Spray Paint. Sprays Evenly and Dries Quick. I did a couple layers to really coat the canvas. But I still left the faintest look of the painting behind the white.

Step 8: Wait

Step 9: Is it dry yet?

Step 10: Peel away and Enjoy!

Step 11: Display for all to see

So now the wall in my office is complete with the addition of my new Paint By Number circa 2012.

And I am already on the hunt for more Paint By Numbers on my Estate Sailin’ days.

Second:

Okay the other ohhh so crafty and inspirational (y) thing I need to tell you about is my sweet friend GussySews.

While we were in Tanzania she got to meet some amazing women and talk shop about fabrics, sewing, etc.

Talk about inspiration and craft! How cool is that!

It was so fun to watch her engage with these women in this way.

She ended up buying fabric while we were there and she just complete making Limited Edition Pouches that are TOOOOOO cute!

I am in Love!

From Gussy:

The pouches are selling for $31 and are named after four Tanzanian children that nestled themselves into our hearts: Ruth, Mary, Topiwo and Winner. You can read about each child in the product descriptions. As the pouches sell we’ll be collecting a portion of the profits to sponsor a child. Will you help us make this happen?

My goal is to sell all of the Limited Edition pouches listed in the shop so we can sponsor a child together.

So again I ask, will you help us make this happen?

Happy Tuesday Friends. . . Hope its crafty and inspiring (y) .
