Hola from Ecuador. . .

Hello from Ecuador!

I am here this week with a great team of artists and speakers that partner with Compassion!

I LOVE being back in this country. It has been 2 years TOO long!

Yesterday we visited a Compassion program right out side Quito . . .

Is that pic above not the sweetest. . .

Today we are headed north to a community on the coast almost bordering Colombia.

They have had very few visitors SO I know we are excited ( and they are too!)

Can’t wait to share this part of our trip on Thursday when we get back to Quito!

Diony - Keeley, your pictures today humbled me. I have such an abundance in my life, how can I ever complain? God bless

August 26, 2011 - 11:00 am

christine - It amazes me how your photos make me feel like I am right there walking with you. You have a gift…the way you are able to capture their beautiful faces and their surroundings and transform them in a way that we see the heart of what God is doing in their midst! It feeds MY soul…

So I did it. . .

I took the plunge

or the jump

or the leap. . .

Whichever way you look at it

I have opened an Etsy Store!

I am a big fan of the great handmade online store!

Do you Etsy? Love to hear your favorite sellers. . .

Anyways…I decided to not just be a buyer on etsy but alas a seller.

And here is the photo that sparked it all  ( that at the convincing of some friends)

“London Calling Nashville”

and yes, it comes as a print or a canvas ( fancy eh?)

So here it is!

A little Shoutout to

my little shop around the interweb corner.

More photos to be loaded on the shelf (???) soon!

Jen - I love etsy!!! And your prints are amazing! I’ll definitely be checking back often. :)

July 22, 2011 - 7:43 am

Kelsey - Love it! Great idea!!

Summer Days. . .

We just got back from spending a few days

Way Down Yonder on the Chattahoochee!

( you can thank me later for that song now being stuck in your head for the day)

Did you click that link? You totally Should!

ANYWAYS. . .

It was such a great way to start the summer!

Friends, boats, wake boarding, sun, cooking, relaxing. . .the works!

Here is some iphoneography from the week.

Little Willis Bud didn’t go with us but he had a vacay of his own out on the farm!

He is WIPED out. I so wish you could hear the snores that were occurring when this photo was taken.

Have I mentioned my new OBSESSION with

Pinterest!

If you are Pinning your life away like myself follow me here!

I noticed that on my “eats” board

( yes I realize that is a foreign language to you non-pinteresters)

I have a few different recipes for grilled corn, avocado and tomato salad.

Thinking THIS needs to make an appearance at the Scott House this weekend.

Speaking of The Weekend. . .

Yall have a good one!!!

Ashley Honea - Love all these pictures!!!!!!!! The kids are beautiful. I grew up in the Philippines so it’s my home away from home. And the picture of the sari-sari store! I loved those as a kid.

Lucinda - Found my way over here from simple mom… Absolutely stunning photos. You really depict a story – many tears in my eyes as I slowly scroll through. Big brown eyes reminding me of my own daughter. Wondering what it would feel like to put her to sleep on the floor. Thank you for sharing. x

Jonathan - Thanks for sharing these wonderful photos. Brings back the memories of the past. I thank God for the people of Compassion, for having the heart for our people.

Stunning. Hope-filled. Heart-bursting.

I so wish I was there with you, and through your lens (and the words of the team), I can be.

You’re a treasure.

Dollywood 2012. I’ll call you. :)

June 3, 2011 - 7:40 am

Jill Foley - these are great. I love the little boy looking through the window and the two girls in the doorway…and the group of teenage girls laughing….I agree with Lindsay that you tell a story with your pictures.

June 3, 2011 - 7:26 am

Lindsay - I love the way you tell stories, Keely. Ending with “Lovely”? Ugh. Catch in the throat. Tears in the eyes. Gratitude in the heart. Prayers on the lips.

Thank you for investing the gifts God gave you into these kiddos and this organization. :)
